What do you REALLY want for Christmas?

As Christmas approaches, we are all asked an increasingly more difficult question to answer year after year. What do you want for Christmas

This was such an easily answered question when we were kids. I’ll take one of everything, please!

When I was younger, Christmas was all about presents for me. Sure…I had a few lines in the Christmas program at church, but most of my favorite childhood Christmas memories are from the presents I received (I’m not ashamed to admit it). I can still remember walking down the stairs of my parent’s living room to find the 2XL trivia toy (remember those?) I wanted under the tree on Christmas morning.

What the Christmas season is all about has drastically changed for me over the years. I’m a grown man with an incredible family! I don’t really NEED anything but Jesus! He is the reason for the season! So, I ask you this: What are you asking God for this Christmas?

God rewards those who have faith and believe that “nothing is impossible for God” (Luke 1:37 CEV). God blesses those who believeall things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23 NKJV). This blessing can come in the spiritual realm, our finances, health, and virtually all other areas of our lives.

How strong is your faith? Are you asking God for the big things this Christmas, or just the small ones? Are you expecting Him to answer your prayers?

As you pray this Christmas season, remember that God is not confined and limited! He has asked us to be bold. Don’t limit Him. Ask, and believe in Him for HUGE miracles.

Merry Christmas!

For myself personally what I want for Christmas is to sing well at Midnight Mass & the half hour before Mass as planned on Christmas Eve, to sing well at noon Mass on Christmas Day, to have a peaceful & happy dinner & visit with my friend Lisa & her family (she is kind enough to invite me now that my parents are in heaven & my only family members (cousins) either have health issues or are geographically distant), for my family, friends & myself to be healthy & happy & for me to finish what I need to do to give everyone on my gift list their presents.

My list of things I ask GOD for that don’t have a Christmas deadline: to protect life, for our country & the world to turn from the culture of death to the Gospel of life & to turn back to GOD & be dedicated to following HIS ways & to loving another & our country & for no more people to die or get seriously ill from COVID-19 & to be able to live wisely & cautiously but without fear.

      Arlene,

Thanks so much for listening to Star 99.1. Merry Christmas to you! I know you’ll do great singing this Christmas. If you do “Joy To The World”, please think of me. It’s one of my favorites 🙂

Thank you. It’s my favorite, too
It’s the second song in the half hour of music we sing before Mass begins.

I ask God for peace over my family, with all the financial burdens that have happened to us due to Covid. We can’t have a Christmas this year with the usual gifts and fun. Unfortunately we have to move asap because the condo I rent is up for sale. My landlords are unable to keep this property. I want to have a relaxing Christmas at home with my family. Watching Christmas movies and eating, we can’t do anything this year as far as present, but we will still have food😋. My daughter’s are very understanding girls. I trust we will get through this and next year will be better. I pray for our financial situations to get better, so we can get back on track.

What I want for Christmas is for my mom to get the medications she needs to treat her medical conditions. She has to pay for her prescriptions because of her insurance, and most of it is hard to afford for our family. I just want her to be healthy and able to go to work without having a major Fibromyalgia flare-up.

April…my prayers will include both your mother and you…Chad
