Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the crisp weather, the apple picking and pumpkin picking, the stir of excitement because the holidays are right around the corner… but my favorite thing about fall is seeing how much God loves us.
I can see it in the gorgeous colors of the leaves changing, I can see it in the kids’ faces as they run through the corn mazes, I see it in the way that He ends one season and brings a fresh start to another. Fall is so encouraging to me because it means a FRESH START! A new opportunity to do things differently, to achieve all the goals, to start all the projects. The busyness of summer is over, the routines are back in place and it’s time for a fresh start.
God offers us a fresh start – it’s as simple as saying, “Lord please forgive me of my sins and all the things I’ve done that have separated me from You. Please help me to be more like You in everything I do.” CLEAN. SLATE. That easy. I love that about God, He’s so willing and quick to forgive us and help us start brand new. It’s a new day, a new beginning, a new opportunity to make a change. So dive in.
