LOVE ONE ANOTHER

We all struggle sometimes, but isn’t it great when God shows up in the middle of it? One of my best friends, Tonya, lives in Texas and works several jobs to pay the bills. One of her side gigs is waitressing. The other day, she received a note with a pretty large tip and I wanted to share her note with you:

“Thank you so much for your willingness to serve me this evening. I just wanted to say that you’re awesome! I know life can be the absolute pits sometimes, but I also know it can be great! I don’t know if you are in a tough time right now, or if you’re doing great right now. Either way, I want you to know you have a fan in me—not only because you served me this awesome meal, but mainly because of Jesus Christ who loves you and created you with purpose and meaning. I just wanted to encourage you because I know that in food service, when you’re serving tables, people can be really rude. My God has never once failed me and I just wanted you to know that even though I don’t know where you are in life, I will keep you in my prayers and I hope that blessings come your way. Remember, Jesus Christ loves you and God is good!”

This note made her cry…and the tip was much appreciated, but most importantly, she needed that reminder that God loves her so much! To have that angel leave that note for her, reminded her that she’s going to be ok. Tonya posted this experience on Facebook. Think about all those who read it and were encouraged by it. I don’t know how many of you are reading this and are being encouraged, but I do want to challenge you to write a note like that for someone this week. We often never know how God can use us when we submit to His will. We also rarely know how that submittal can change the life of those around us.

Blessings,
Brenda Price

Brenda, thank you for telling us your friend’s story. It’s not only encouraging to remember God loves us through others who are open to being one of God’s emissaries, but it reminds me to look for those moments when I can be one. We can give God’s gift of love in many ways, sometimes just a smile. I’m glad that this person could show His Love by meeting a financial need as well as the Perfect note ✝️
