On Wings Like Eagles

When a storm hits your life will you rise above it or let it blow you over and knock you down?

Have you ever heard the story about how eagles take on storms? Eagles welcome storms. While other birds run for cover and hide from the storm, the eagle stays, waiting for the storm to arrive. When the storm arrives, an eagle will soar on the wind currents and the updrafts. So when the wind hits, it is said that an eagle can use those currents to carry him higher and higher. The eagle uses the wind of the storm to rise above it.

Do you realize that we can do the same thing? Our storms can ground us, knock us over, blow us down, and paralyze us. OR the storms in our life can carry us higher than we’ve ever flown before.
It is our choices that determine the outcome of the storms in our lives. We don’t get to decide if and when a life storm hits us or even what we lose in a storm. But we do decide where the storm takes us.
If you are in a storm right now, ask God, “What is it that You want me to learn in this, and what is it that I can learn in this that can make me stronger?”

When the storm hits our lives, we can get our strength from Jesus. He is our strength when we are weak. We can rise above the storm with the strength He gives us. When we trust in the Lord we will find new strength. We will soar high on wings like eagles. We will run and not get weary and we will walk and not get weak.

ISAIAH‬ ‭40:31‬‬‬“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary, They will walk and not faint.”
