I remember the day when I was a little girl that my Dad brought us to Yankee Stadium for the first time. He instructed me to put my little purse crisscross across my chest so no one could steal it, and then he held tightly to my hand as we walked through the crowded streets to get to the stadium. No one was going to harm his little girl!
That is how God is with you! He promises us that in His Word! So no matter what you are going through or what lies ahead as we head into a new season, remember and trust that He is your shelter and your strength! He holds you tightly with His victorious right hand! He holds you close to His heart, and He is with you wherever you go. He guides you and He counsels you …He will never leave you… He is your armor and your protection!
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”
